Asbestos Sampling and Bulk Analysis
It’s not always necessary to complete a full survey to identify an asbestos containing material, but it is only through laboratory analysis that the presence and type of asbestos can be truly confirmed.
It’s not always necessary to complete a full survey to identify an asbestos containing material (ACM), but it is only through laboratory analysis that the presence and type of asbestos can be truly confirmed.
We can offer a sampling service to identify asbestos within client supplied samples or we can come to you to safely collect samples and return them for analysis.
Our sampling technicians are fully trained, competent and equipped to ensure that samples are taken in a safe and controlled manner, minimising the risk of inadvertent fibre release. Sample points will be safely encapsulated on completion and marked with a location sticker where appropriate.
Our booking staff will ask a few simple questions about the type and location of material to be sampled and we’ll attend at the earliest convenient time to suit you. We also offer an out of hours emergency attendance service when suspect material has been damaged.
Sample analysis is undertaken in our laboratory at our head office using polarised light microscopy by P401 trained and authorised analysts. Sample analysis for asbestos must only be undertaken by Laboratories holding UKAS accreditation ISO 17025.
We have our own in-house UKAS accredited (Ref. No. 6093) testing laboratory as well as access to a network of other approved and accredited laboratories throughout the UK to provide a wide coverage ensuring speedy results.
Sample results can be supplied as a simple bulk analysis report or a more detailed sampling report incorporating photographs and annotated plans, depending on your requirements.
